The 21st World championship was held on four superb links courses in and around the City of Dundee, Scotland. The courses played were, Montrose Medal, established 1562 (yes 1562), Monifieth Medal established 1643, Panmure established 1845 and Scotscraig 1817. The tournament was played on Monday 18, Tuesday 19, Thursday 21 and Friday 22nd June 2012. Our host were the British Left-handed Golfers Association under the chairmanship of Tony Broadhurst, who acted at the World President for the Tournament.
There were 239 entrants from 16 different countries. Australia (43), Canada (5), England (33), France (14), Germany (17), Ireland (20), Japan, (19), New Zealand (13), Norway (1), Scotland (7), Sir Lanka (1), Sweden (15), Switzerland (3), Taiwan (10), Uganda (2), and U.S.A. (36).
The Headquarters Hotel for the tournament was the Hilton Hotel, Dundee. A welcome banquet was held there in the Earl Grey Suite on Sunday 16 June 2012.
The presentation dinner was held on Friday night 22 June 2012 in the earl Grey Suite at the Hilton Hotel.
