As a result of a successful tournament in Sydney in 1979 it was decided to hold another tournament in Hawaii in 1981. The tournament attracted competitors from America, New Zealand, Australia. The tournament was played on Orange and Blue Courses and the Wailea Golf Club, Maui.
The Tournament was run by Jack Walters and Ken Ahrens (U.S.A.), Miles Desharnais and Willard Gilmour Canada.
The World Champion was Harvey Wilson, Australia.
The Senior Champion was R. Anderson U.S.A.
