Our first visit to England saw us play at the Warwickshire Golf Course, just outside Warwick in central England. Once again the venue was changed from the Southport area to Warwickshire, due to some internal issues.
The course was a relatively new golf complex of 36 holes, which we played twice. The Chairman of the organizing committee was Peter Jackson who welcomed everyone to England.
There were 285 entrants from 11 Countries, England (103), Sweden (18), U.S.A. (36), Australia (48), Ireland (25), Japan (22), Germany (5), Canada (15), New Zealand (11), Italy (1) and Finland (1).
The Presentation dinner was held at the Warwickshire Golf Club.
The World Champion was Niclas Krohn, Sweden.
The Senior Champion was Alan Tune, England.
The Lady Champion was Marlene Howard, Australia.
The Doug Crosby World Cup was won by England.
